WILD SHORES
Welcome to Pakaru Nui Island. Here you can learn more about the villagers, wildlife, and more.
One day, an evil creature jealous of the happy villagers summoned a storm that flooded most of the island and left the wildlife to compete with the islanders for what land is left.
It is up to the heroes to save them now!
Villagers
Cina used to build sensors for volcanoes near her village. The Erosion destroyed her life's work. Now her focus is to simply survive while rahi squid circle the little land she has left to stand on.
Strato used to be an archaeologist for his village, collecting relics found around his icy home. After The Erosion, Strato was horrified to have his artifacts washed away. But for now his focus is to avoid dive-attacks by seemingly crazed Snowbird Rahi.
Arzo used to run supply lines between villages by riding on giant cargo crabs. After The Erosion, Arzo's once loyal crab had turned hostile toward him.
Lancia used to make mining tools for her village before The Erosion. Now her focus is to avoid the dangerous waters around the small amount of land left she has to stand on.
Vite used to build gondolas for his village to travel in the dense jungle he lived in. The Erosion wiped out the entire wireline. Now all that matters is dodging attacks from giant rahi beetle attacks, since their nests have been washed away and land to rest on is scarce.
Salina used to be a chemist for shoreline monitoring near her village. The Erosion washed away her laboratory. Now her focus is to stay ashore and away from the jaws of rahi sharks below the surface.
Wildlife
Large squid that are drawn to the heat of underwater volcanoes. In spite of the depths it visits, it can beach itself to grab prey on shorelines before waves bring it back to sea.
Masters of the seas, these sharks use their wide skulls to pin down prey against the sea floor before biting their targets.
Desert Crabs, are native to the beaches around Pakaru Nui. The domesticated crabs are known as Cargo Crabs, which can carry passengers and freight on their backs.
A giant gnat with a stinger and extending proboscis mouth. Gross, as well as very dangerous.
Snow Crows are very territorial and have sharp claws to protect their nests. The only warning of an attack is a whistling noise their claws make as they dive at targets.
These nearly blind fish live in murky waters, sensing electricity of prey in the water. They are very fast in the water and rarely sleep, always looking for food.
Heroes
Able to ignite a column of flame in front of the blade even under water, this sword is a Fire Toa's best tool to keep foes at bay.
A balance between attacks and defence, the Blizzard Blade can counter most melee attacks with ease and elegance.
This shape-shifting spade can dig out buried friends after sand storms, or transform into a pickaxe to uncover caves in sandstone.
The most powerful tool of the Toa, the hammering tool can send shockwaves to knock even the most sure-footed creatures off their feet.
A tool made primarily for fast underwater travel, this bladed staff with a built in propeller also serves as a good defence from jaws, claws and more.
Ideal for trapping tricky targets, this staff can bend and flex to allow the vine running the length of the tool to lasso onto jaws of unruly wildlife.
An energetic Toa, Fusio has the greatest elemental output of the group, where his armor is mostly red-hot on his body and when he swims, a boiling froth occurs around him during the entire underwater experience.
A little reserved and the toughest Toa, Tumare puts on a hardened exterior, but if she faces a surprise attack, she can easily fall to pieces and be overwhelmed. In combat she uses incredible techniques to block and disarm opponents.
A patient and soft-spoken Toa, he specializes in firing his harpoon blaster to maximum range. He is the most shy of the group, yet also acts as the best shepherd for villagers.
The most stubborn of the heroes, Estrazion is always trying to prove something to someone on the team. That said though, he would do anything to protect his team, no matter the cost to him
The Toa of water is happily in her element, and her finding useful debris in the depths means she is closer to curing her curiosity for what The Erosion was exactly.
Lacio is still a mystery to the rest of the group. They are well-versed in their unusual staff, which transforms into a lasso.
Riri Leeches
Alperot The Leechmaster
Before The Erosion storm, these venomous leeches lived at the darkest depths of the sea.
The Erosion thrust leeches up to the surface, biting animals and infecting them with an enraging venom.
To save the animals, the heroes must hit the leeches with their harpoons, neutralising the venom.
Alperot is an evil half octopus, half plant creature who's elemental powers summoned The Erosion.
With eight bladed arms, Alperot is a dangerous foe. Beyond bladed combat, Alperot can control the forces of storms and the sea!
Dwelling normally in the depths of the sea; when Alperot surfaces, run as fast as you can!
With the leeches upsetting the wildlife, Alperot can distract the villagers and heroes from finding him and uncovering his master plan...
